Neon Beats

Neon Beats is an engaging musical rhythm game in which users must respond quickly to what's going on onscreen. In order to complete as efficiently as possible the levels that indie developers from OKYO GAMES have prepared for players, a sense of tact must be present; musical accompaniment plays an essential part in helping users hit keys at exactly the right times.

This project utilized two-dimensional visual design with minimalistic detailing of its surrounding world, using bright lines glowing with neon of various shades against an almost entirely black background. Gamepad support has also been provided so users who enjoy using such controls may enjoy using that mode to control game play, with collectible items scattered about all locations to achieve 100% completion of all the content created by its creators.

Single player campaign comprises four incredibly long stages, each featuring its own distinctive track that determines the speed and direction of movement for a white cube controlled by the gamer. Levels consist of platforms connected by gaps which contain deadly spikes, saws and other traps designed to kill virtual proteges before forcing them back towards control points; to successfully complete one segment will require concentration as well as strict timing adherence from all involved.
