Gearshifters

Gearshifters blends action, combat racing and simplified roguelike elements together into an enjoyable gaming experience. Using top-down camera but three dimensional graphics, gameplay takes place in 2060 in dystopian Europe divided between various gangs; our hero acts as courier, trying to reach Citadel as quickly as possible using cut scenes from pictures; there are 3 modes - arcade standard deadly

Gearshifters' gameplay resembles that of scrolling shooters: the screen moves independently left-to-right while you, within limits, maneuver your car in different directions to deliver cargo orders. Orders need to pass several stages; most often through areas controlled by bandits who attempt to demolish you as factions attempt to defeat him on randomized paths that change each time; tracks are generated randomly too and so does enemy appearance order on each route.

Here, the player must fight with enemy vehicles by ramming and disabling them with weapons. As they progress in the game, money is earned that can be used to upgrade current or buy a new car; acquire additional weapons; or gain special abilities like turning sharply backwards to shoot at purveyors as you retreat - there are nearly 100 upgrades total. Boss battles allow leaders to choose different strategies while gradually expanding his influence across 9 biomes with 27 levels.
