Creatura is a strategic simulator designed for developing your own vivarium on an area specifically prepared for this task, on an artificial island terrarium. The game provides immense possibilities for building evolutionary chains and increasing numbers of more developed residents inside glass walls. Scientifically correct concepts of natural selection allow players to eliminate failed species by changing their environments while making many other opportunities available to them.

There is support for external controllers, and an included level editor that allows for customizing backgrounds, the environment within your terrarium and developing unique appearances for available plants and wildlife. You can compare and download other gamers' completed works through an evaluation catalog in the main menu as well as modify your client by adding textures for further use.

Playground in its purest sense, this gameplay simulates an open world sandbox environment in its purest sense. There are no indications from developers as to what steps should be taken by users when starting up microorganism growth, offspring production and gene changes; to maintain life inside their vivarium player must monitor various indicators as well as vegetation indicators indicating unfavorable microclimate such as high humidity or lack of sunshine/oxygen supply etc.
