Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 1 recounts a tale about a city under attack from an ancient dragon, terrorizing residents with frequent raids from it and leaving many terrified and distraught. There must be someone brave who can locate its lair and kill it, including perhaps an adventurous gamer playing as the main protagonist who undertakes an expedition on behalf of its inhabitants.

Here, they don't know where the dragon comes from, so the protagonist must discover its lair on their own. Exploring through the game universe, he encounters a town which survived a dragon attack where he meets Brent who longs to perform great feats in order to earn respect from fellow citizens and bring fame home with them on an exciting journey with Brent as his guide. The user embarks with this promising orphan along his quest.

Their journey takes them across wild territories, where their characters encounter numerous obstacles, tests, and tasks that must be accomplished to safeguard the settlement from harm. Their ultimate objective is to save it; so the user explores the game world to search for shelter from beasts while finding valuable caches full of goodies; various tasks are designed to assist NPCs; engages in battles against monsters to upgrade skills while engaging in combat with monsters to unlock 26 achievements available in Hero of the Kingdom: Lost Tales 1!
