The Feast

The Feast is a short yet atmospheric adventure game which offers an imaginative vision of society that may look past all horrors to maintain an illusionary peace and innocence. All action occurs within an apartment built to mimic post-Soviet architecture. Ksenia, the young protagonist in this story, goes over to her mother's house to celebrate dinner and find that work colleagues, an elderly neighbor and two pregnant friends have also come for dinner as part of an unusual "holiday". However, as soon as she crosses the threshold she encounters an unnerving and surreal atmosphere - her mother swallowing up the key she just used to close doors; explosions outside are taken for fireworks; while hanging above their table, on their chandelier is an unidentified bloodied corpse with a bag on its head that none present care to notice or acknowledge.

The Feast is an arthouse take on video game culture that offers players a strange experience. Players find their perception of reality warped; any careless word may be mistaken as inappropriate dissent and panicked sobs may be perceived as part of choral singing. Play is minimal yet lets players interact with characters and objects by selecting suggested contextual actions which shape plot development into five unique endings depending on whether players approve, voice suspicions or attempt to disrupt the feast.
