Bloom

Cultists decided to signal the end of time in Bloom by importing an unholy black flower from demonic realm into our world, inviting destruction. You, playing as part of holy order warrior, must battle through demons and damned in order to destroy this black bloom before blooming occurs. Although still in early access mode, this retro shooter offers everything expected in such games such as motivation for characters as well as symbolic bloodshed.

At first glance, the three-dimensional graphics may seem crude or rough at first, but after playing for just a short while you become less self-conscious of them. What the creators did exceptionally well was with level design: every now and then reminding one of old shooters from 20 years ago while looking far better; recognizable design solutions inspired by classic shooters are clearly present here as are its overall style of locations and environments.

The gameplay takes its cue from shooters, with vigorous and dynamic shootouts featuring enemies from cultists to ground and flying demons of every sort - such as ground demons - as cultists to ground demons of various stripes ranging from ground demons. Each level offers progressive levels which introduce one or two new opponents. Furthermore, every level traditionally ends with an epic boss battle featuring unique adversaries which require special techniques; not to mention they usually come complete with their own legion of minions!

But the highlight of the game was unquestionably its weapon selection - from fists, to two-handed swords, pistols, submachine guns, pump-action shotguns with double barreled barrels (pump-action and double barrelled), rifles, machine guns as well as futuristic models (some hidden). Some weapons can even be held Macedonian style for enhanced aesthetic effect! Each type has its own use - no weapon is completely useless either - each feels fantastic when held close range (especially shotguns!).

Additional items in the game may not be numerous, but all your needs can be found within them - roses for healing purposes; weapons, ammunition and armor as well as keys that unlock doors are all present - with special bonuses like Adrenaline carefully hidden within many levels to increase player health when used.
