Only A Dream

Only A Dream takes players back to 1990 with its protagonist John Simmons trying to start over after the divorce of his parents: his mother left for her lover three years earlier and cut all ties, leading his dad into deep depression until finally disappearing last month. To try start over John renovated an apartment inherited from relatives while finding steady employment; but one day at three in the morning something strange woke him up; eventually awakening in an unknown environment made up of caverns and underground corridors where now must find his way out!

Only a Dream is an interactive first-person horror, walking simulator and adventure video game featuring first person view gameplay. Players explore locations while finding ways out, collecting notes left by Frank the protagonist's father left scattered around the map to uncover its backstory. As part of game gameplay players can walk, run, crouch interact with certain objects as well as use limited charge flashlight. Running uses up stamina while running consumes some stamina reserve; Additionally the heartbeat mechanic means when your heartbeat rate reaches 120 (when playing is saved only in camp; progress saved progress only saved game progress is saved here
