Volunteer is an arcade first-person shooter meets survival horror hybrid. Players not only traverse darkness with flashlight, but must also shoot monsters from an arsenal that ranges from melee weapons like an axe and machine gun to submachine gun and submachine gun; each requires ammo reloads but shouldn't waste ammo since rare ammo must be protected and spent wisely; there's blood and meat to contend with and the controls have been optimized for keyboard and mouse use, providing multiple fight and shoot modes as well as items like first aid kits or switching inventory between items; interactive objects; swap out or put away a gas mask when required by taking out or putting back on or taking out and put back putting back onto yourself from taking off and put back onto yourself as an interactive object!

Volunteer is the name of this video game and Phil Carter's profession as its protagonist. After leaving military service, Phil finds work volunteering at a hospital that turns out to be an illegal biotechnological clinic where scientists conduct secret DNA experiments on patients for unknown purposes. One day the main character falls unconscious but wakes up soon afterwards only to discover devastation, corpses and monsters all around him; to unlock its terrifying secret he must look out for keys hidden throughout various maps throughout an indie project staged project with separate menus; each stage contains its own text-based story; to navigate around maps you must look out for keys hidden between stages by searching out which characters.
