The Soul's Choice

The Soul's Choice is an asymmetric first-person multiplayer horror game in which one player acts as the evil entity trying to kill off other user characters while others work to cast it away from their bodies. Gamers assume the roles of paranormal hunters. To perform an exorcism effectively, these gamers will need to locate all ten Voodoo dolls at each location - with random selection determining who are villains and traitors; all explained within the plot. Multiplayer requires at least four people with up to a maximum of 10 gamers supported simultaneously - single player mode offers users tasks to find objects within an old and abandoned mansion environment.

Soul Choice features an elaborate backstory. One day, one boy invited his friends over in order to communicate with a deceased relative through seances; these activities eventually led them all back together again at one of his homes for another visit with spirits they decided upon using a board to summon. As a result, they summoned an impure spirit into our world; unfortunately this spirit came from another realm and killed every child before breaking herself up and hiding each piece beneath various objects to avoid destruction. Psychologists then arrived to this estate and understood why its buildings had become abandoned, only to discover an intelligent yet dangerous foe residing there; who began inhabiting victims to kill any unwelcome visitors with its hands.
