Old Shadow

Old Shadow spans multiple genres. This project encompasses elements from metroidvania, action, stealth, adventure and survival simulator games - as well as using third-person view so players can run, jump, collect resources from enemies sneakily as they craft objects while exploring an underground world and building objects! Building is possible at every scale from simple houses to towers), traps and bridges; an inventory system allows quick access to things and skills; there is also an 'impressum system with 12 slots' providing quick access; hunger and cold mechanics require you to look for food sources to avoid starvation; you must repel attacks by monsters on top of this! Furthermore, parts of the map cannot be entered without using one of nine kinds of masks available as entrance restrictions (ie being unable to breathe underwater for instance!). These masks provide vital skills such as being able to breathe underwater!

Old Shadow is an adaptation of George Tolkien's novel "The Lord of the Rings", loosely following both book and movie trilogy plotlines while exploring what might have occurred if Gollum had survived the final confrontation in book or movie format. The plot begins when our antihero manages to put on his Ring of Omnipotence before falling into lava, saving his life by transporting him east and away from imminent death in a volcano crater. As a result, our protagonist finds herself trapped inside one of Sauron's minions' tombs and their magic ring splits into 15 parts; our main character must assemble all these fragments back together again before returning it to Sauron - each fragment brings new abilities! The story unfolds via pictures and text.
