Ghost Song

Ghost Song is a classic metroidvania. The plot here is short. The hero comes to his senses near the crashed starship. He finds himself on a moon orbiting the planet Lorian V. After this, gameplay immediately begins. The protagonist starts with a pistol and 250 rounds of ammunition. The supply of bullets is automatically restored slowly to this point. At first, the character can only run, jump and shoot in 8 directions. Over time, he will discover new types of weapons and gain additional abilities. Skills not only add variety to the gameplay, but are often the only way to overcome certain obstacles. For example: a dash makes it possible to dodge in battle and at the same time allows you to fly over small chasms that cannot be jumped over because of the spikes hanging on the ceiling.

The creators of Ghost Song were heavily inspired by one of the founders of the genre - Metroid. Or rather, two-dimensional parts of the series. The developers tried to make an imitator of it on PC. Because of this, you must save manually in special rooms. Communication with peaceful NPCs is done in the manner of Dark Souls. The character silently listens to the monologues of the interlocutor, and then goes on to explore the world further. All conscious non-scripts are voiced. The locations are interconnected into a single network. In the game you will often have to return to territories you have already seen in order to explore previously inaccessible places. Flowers can be found throughout the levels. They restore health and increase the damage caused by the cannon. The enemies here are the local fauna: things like slugs, strange birds, etc. There are also humanoid-type creatures that can open fire.
