XP Soccer

XP Soccer may be of interest to those who are nostalgic for sports games from eight-bit consoles. This low barrier-to-entry football arcade game takes cues from home console titles from the late '80s and early '90s. The graphics are made in the style of pixel art, and the gameplay is accompanied by music in the chiptune genre. You can control the movements of pixel football players using the keyboard or gamepad. The controls are quite simple. You can move the selected person in different directions, make passes, perform several shots (including headers), and take a penalty. The strength of attacks can be adjusted. The indie title also allows you to place players on the field, choose strategies and make substitutions. Violations of the rules are punishable by fine cards.

XP Football offers a choice of 56 national teams. Since this is not a full-fledged football simulator with licenses, the names of the athletes here are fictitious, and the tournaments are unofficial. There are only 2 modes here. Exhibition Match allows you to play a quick match against a bot or a live opponent. Multiplayer is exclusively local (you can only play together on one computer). World Tournament provides an opportunity to participate in the world championship. This game is designed for single play only. All competitors are bots. There are only 4 stadiums here. They differ in the types of grass covering.
