tERRORbane, in a sense, makes fun of the concept of modern projects. So, intending to save the world from a threat on a universal scale, the main character will regularly face difficulties. But these will not be bosses or dangerous traps, but the most ordinary system failures. They appear precisely when no one expects it, and they ruin the whole picture. But sometimes everything can turn out differently, and problems can be a plus, depriving enemies of the opportunity to move and attack, and sometimes even getting out of the way. Therefore, you just need to act according to the situation, reacting to any changes.

Visually, tERRORbane resembles a classic 2D adventure. The hero is invited to visit a number of sequential locations, where, although there are size restrictions, there is also access to any corner of the space. So, while walking around the castle, you can go into each hall and room, talk with the heroes there and receive hints in the early stages of the passage. The combat system stands apart, because when it’s time to fight, everything is transferred to some kind of arena. Here, each side has the right to a turn, during which they can attack, use defense mechanisms, or replenish their health reserves with a potion. But you can never know in advance what will happen at the decisive moment. Maybe the opponent's health bar will empty on its own, or the silhouette of the developer will appear at the top and simply curl the screen into a ball like a piece of paper. These and some other oddities will become the norm closer to the middle of the plot, when something is unlikely to surprise gamers.
