Half-Life 2: VR Mod

Half-Life 2: VR Mod is a modification for the original Half-Life 2, completely changing the perspective of the game. The developers have made every effort to make the gameplay of Half-Life 2: VR Mod as similar as possible to the virtual reality adventure Alyx. The cult hero Gordon Freeman will be in control. Together with him you will need to return to the familiar Ravenholm, but all familiar situations can now be seen from the eyes of the protagonist. Almost every element of the project has been redone from scratch: textures, animations have been improved, various mechanics have been reworked, and much more.

The environment is completely interactive. You can take any small object in your hands. Each object has its own individual physics. For example, you can play ball with the Dog. The storyline follows the original game. You need to fight the Alliance on the streets of City 17. The weapon is reloaded manually. The animations for reloading have been redrawn, allowing you to get a better feel for the weapon. With the change in perspective, the gameplay became even more immersive.

You can switch between guns using a simple and intuitive radial menu. Freeman throws the weapon over his shoulder. There are one-handed barrels and two-handed rifles. In the settings you can activate the laser sight for more accurate targeting. An arcade reload option taken from the original game is also available. When driving a car, you can switch between first and third person.
