Steelrising

Steelrising shows what would have happened to France if history had gone in a different direction. The game takes gamers to an alternative Victorian world where there are cyborgs. Outwardly, they look like animated porcelain dolls from a bygone era. The plot is dedicated to the theme of revolution.

King Louis XVI is the main antagonist in Steelrising. The ruler acquired an army of steam-powered automaton robots and with their help inflicted real terror on his subjects. The residents of Paris, where the main events are developing, were tired of such power and staged a rebellion. Users take the side of the rebels, controlling a character named Aegis.

The project uses a steampunk setting and plays with it in an unusual way. The title itself is an Action RPG. Moreover, the main emphasis here is more on the action than on the role-playing component. An important role is also given to exploring locations and finding secret passages that help get to new areas. The protagonist looks like a very high-tech (even by the standards of the 18th century parallel universe) android, made in the image of a noble nobleman. The game allows you to challenge the government during the civil war and try to change the course of history. The title stands out for its visual style, especially the design of the enemies and the main character.
