Card Shark

Card Shark is set in 18th century France. The main character is involved in criminal matters, trying to get to the top of French society. To do this, he will play cards more than once with high-ranking and famous personalities. Achieving his goal, he will meet many opponents and deal with problems with the help of firearms.

The gameplay is presented as a 2D side-scrolling adventure. Most missions revolve around winning cards, which allows you to advance through the story and gain different opportunities. Gradually, artificial intelligence becomes stronger, and it is more difficult to win competitions. It all starts with the local card salon, but later access to the royal table will open. The central character learns new skills and abilities.

A set of card tricks will help your ward get the necessary cards through dishonest means. By winning games, the gamer earns the money needed for high stakes and closed tables. Comrades and participants treat scammers poorly. If they detect suspicious actions, they will order the hero to be killed. A pistol will help you fight off your rivals and escape from the establishment alive. The story is told through dialogue, and sometimes several lines of response are provided that will change the outcome of the conversation.
