Fearmonium

Fearmonium is a 2D metroidvania where horror borders on humor. It is necessary to go through mystical locations, penetrating into the most hidden corners of the consciousness of a hero named Max. In fact, the gameplay makes it possible to turn into a real phobia. Events take place inside the world of an ordinary boy. He has his own fears and desires. Players will have to learn about Max's inner world.

The boy was once very scared of the clowns he saw at the fair. These images stuck in his head and began to be associated with depression and nightmares. Consciousness gave rise to terrible images in him and now players take a journey into his thoughts, facing all the fears of the hero. It is necessary to drive away all his phobias and find out the reason for such genuine fear. Fearmonium dives into questions of psychology.

As you walk through, various abstract images of half-forgotten memories await you. All animation is done by hand. You have to fight mystical enemies using combinations of attacks and various abilities. Each enemy poses a threat and requires an individual approach. All the images that appear in Max’s world are in one way or another connected with what he encountered in reality. However, his brain creates a twisted version of these creatures, imbuing them with cruelty and bloodthirstiness.
