Bottle: Pilgrim Redux

Bottle: Pilgrim Redux is a walking simulator with a first-person view. The main emphasis in this video game is not on gameplay, but on storytelling and atmosphere. The plot tells the story of a man suffering from alcoholism who yearns for his wife. It explores themes of regret, redemption, and loss. Once a year this man comes down from the mountain to the beach. The user is offered to make a pilgrimage accompanied by the voice of a voice-over narrator and dynamic music. The indie project shows 20 years of the protagonist's life. One part of the story is presented in flashback format, while the other develops in the present tense.

What is posted here is not the original game called Bottle: Pilgrim, but its modified version. The re-release boasts increased variety, 3 times longer duration, the presence of a full story and other changes. One large location was replaced by several maps with different decorations. They are mostly linear, but sometimes there are forks. There is a city, a jungle, a snowy area and other places. There are 7 levels in total. The storyline is now divided into chapters. An achievement system has appeared. Various weather conditions have also been added, including rain and snow. The gameplay generally remains the same. In an indie title, you need to wander around the area, look for and collect collectibles, and solve simple puzzles.
