Silent Hill: The Gallows

Silent Hill: The Gallows is a fan modification based on the sixth installment of the Silent Hill franchise, subtitled Downpour. As in the original game, you will play as the prisoner hero Murphy Pendleton. He is serving a sentence in Ryall Prison for stealing a police car. During transportation, the bus overturns and Murphy finds himself in a mysterious city. Silent Hill: The Gallows tells a completely original story. There are monsters and locations from both the numbered game and completely new content.

The core gameplay remains unchanged. The player controls the hero from a third person, exploring the gloomy locations of an abandoned city. Along the way, Murphy encounters many terrifying enemies, which can be fought either in close combat using a stick or pipe, or with long-range weapons such as a pistol, shotgun or rifle. Ammunition is limited, so you can always run around the monster rather than engage in battle with it. In addition to regular enemies, you will also need to fight bosses.

You will need to solve various spatial puzzles. Basically, they come down to solving simple puzzles or finding keys for locked doors. The world of Silent Hill appears to players in two versions: normal and alternative. In the alternative world, there are more enemies and they begin to attack the protagonist more violently. As in the original adventure, there are a number of side quests that are not required to complete.
