Moonshot - The Great Espionage mixes several genres together. It is a platformer, puzzle and stealth game. It takes place in the 1960s during the rivalry between the USSR and the USA. Events take place in an alternative time period. In it, the fictional state of Ustria joined the space race between the two superpowers.

In Moonshot - The Great Espionage, the main character is an agent of the Ustrian intelligence services. His task: to ensure that his native state catches up with the space programs of America and the Soviet Union, and then lands on the Moon before the Americans and Russians. To do this you will have to engage in sabotage and spying. The campaign is divided into 20 levels.

The stages themselves are designed so that they can be completed in different ways. Missions usually ask you to infiltrate a well-guarded facility and carry out sabotage there, steal something, or kidnap an important person. While completing tasks, the hero earns money. They are used to buy new abilities and enhancements. The protagonist is able to walk, sneak, crouch, hide in closets and shadows, stun people, activate switches, go up and down floors. He has to dodge traps and avoid the attention of guards. Periodically, the agent hacks various objects and activates switches. The main gameplay is diluted with short mini-games.
