update details
MMod is an attempt to revive the cult first-person shooter Half-Life . The modification adds more detailed textures. The HEV suit has been redesigned. Now it warns users about a low supply of ammunition or the need to reload the barrel. If desired, this feature can be disabled.
The project is also known as HL1MMod. It boasts a redesigned ambient sound system. Surfaces made of wood, plastic, dirt, glass emit corresponding sounds during interaction with them (for example, upon impact). Added additional animation when picking up weapons. When Gordon Freeman picks up a barrel for the first time, he begins to “play” with it a little. For example: examining an object from different angles or spinning it, inserting ammunition and stuff like that.
The arsenal itself has been redesigned. The crossbow now has additional reload animations, and the bolts behave like the arrows from Half-Life 2. They are now affected by gravity, and can also ricochet when they touch objects at a certain angle. From now on, the game shows the protagonist manually reloading the grenade launcher in the MP5 submachine gun. Colt Python has received a sniper mode. It turns on when installing a laser sight and alternative fire. They also introduced the ability to throw grenades over short distances.
Artificial intelligence has been improved. Opponents have learned to identify the hero by the sound of footsteps and even smell. Shooting now also attracts their attention. The speed of their reaction to the appearance of the main character has increased significantly. The eyes of enemies react believably to different situations. In the event of the death of adversaries, they close or remain half-open.
