For each successful click, the user is awarded cookies. They are the local equivalent of currency. You can use them to buy various upgrades. For example: a new cursor, a mine, a farm, a bank, and so on. Buildings provide passive income, which makes gameplay easier by reducing the need to click too often. The idea is to save enough money to buy buildings and upgrades to further increase your cash flow, so you can then invest even more money. The gameplay lasts forever, but it can be saved. It is possible to abandon the progress made. The gamer will then have to start all over again, but in return he will receive some kind of permanent bonus.
