Paper Lily - Chapter 1

Paper Lily - Chapter 1 is a hybrid of RPG, adventure and horror. This video game uses 2D pixel and hand-drawn graphics. It is stylized as anime. While exploring levels, characters are depicted in a chibi style (much like in old JRPGs). Their full-size sprites appear on the screen during cutscenes and dialogue scenes (just like in visual novels). In this project you need to wander through dark and mysterious locations, chat with various strange characters, encounter enemies, and solve puzzles. One of the main features of this indie horror anime is the ability to solve puzzles in different ways. The gameplay is diluted with a couple of mini-games. In one of them you need to move boxes, and in the other you need to press buttons.

Paper Lily - Chapter 1 is a sequel to the game Project Kat. It is designed for both beginners and those who have already completed the very first part (prologue). The story deals with the theme of social anxiety. The main character's name is Lacey. The plot tells about this girl’s attempts to improve her life and find out the reasons for her strange condition. The plot begins with the fact that this student began to get up in bed less often, stopped attending school classes, and even stopped just leaving the house. Her seclusion lasted for months. This continued until the schoolgirl discovered a strange golden letter.
