update details
Poker Night at the Inventory is a card poker game that lets you play as four characters from different franchises: Quiet from Penny Arcade, Max from Sam & Max, Heavy from Team Fortress 2 and Strong Bad from Homestar Runner. Inventory is the name of a secret organization located underneath the video game storage facility.
The club was opened after the events of 1917, when Congress passed the 18th Amendment. It stated that gambling could have a detrimental effect on the entire working class and could have a negative impact on the country. Therefore, the club began to exist underground. The main character plays the role of a newcomer who finds himself in a closed community. Reginald Van Winslow from Tales of Monkey Island greets you at the entrance. It introduces the rules and gameplay of Poker Night at the Inventory.
The gameplay is Texas Hold'em. In addition to the player, there are four other characters from other series at the table. Buy-in starts at $10,000. The party will last until this amount is completely burned. The main task is to be the last to leave the table, or to put it simply: to remain the only player with money.
The gameplay allows you to place unlimited bets, increasing the amount as you play. At one point, one of the characters may pawn valuable items instead of a cash bet. For example, the Heavy can provide equipment for Team Fortress 2. As you progress through the game, you can unlock new poker tables, various cards and many other cosmetics.
