update details
Beholder is a side-view strategy game from Russian independent developers from Barnaul. The first part of the series, a sequel was released on the wave of success. The engine for the project was Unity, which gave scope for creativity when creating backdrops and environmental objects.
The main character of the game is Karl. He lives and works in a brutal totalitarian state that wants to constantly tighten the boundaries of what is permitted for the population living on its territory. The protagonist has a position in the government apparatus; he is an observer over one of the apartment buildings. Its goal, received from the authorities, is to identify violations of the constitution among residents by spying on them and searching their apartments while the owners are away.
As you progress, it becomes possible to help residents and support the Resistance movement in order to confront established laws and directly those in power. This can be done by following the instructions of the residents, because they are also people with their own desires and problems. The gamer will have to choose which side he wants to play for, but officials will not be happy with your work if they do not receive characteristics of the residents and reports on the work done to catch the violators.
In addition to being between two fires of political life, Karl has his own family of a wife and two children who live in the basement of the same building. Their needs also need to be taken into account and not forgotten to help. They may also get sick, which affects immediate plans.
