Beacon

Beacon is an arcade shooter in a sci-fi setting. The plot sends the player into deep space and immerses him in the futuristic world of innovative technologies and exploration of unknown planets. The uniqueness of the gameplay lies in the unique RPG mechanics: kill enemies, collect their genetic code, load samples into your genome - bio-augmentation will affect the abilities and characteristics of the main character.

The story follows Freya Akiama, the pilot of the Ouroboros spaceship. Growing up in an isolated technological ghetto of a new civilization, Freya dreamed of travel all her life. Having joined the army, the main character discovered several of her own characteristics: she is an excellent fighter, her natural abilities are ideal for piloting a space fighter, and also a complete inability to follow army discipline.

The plot begins with the Ouroboros crashing on the unknown and inhospitable planet Kovus 18. Akiama needs to get to the emergency beacon to report the disaster. However, the local inhabitants meet the heroine with fire and sword. The only salvation will be a genetic printer device, which again and again revives the protagonist after unsuccessful search forays. Each successive death is the evolution of the character: accumulate various DNA particles to integrate useful codes into a new, more adaptable clone. Physical mutations and copied skills from enemy factions will significantly increase the chances of survival. In addition to the variety of DNA codes, the game contains 75 weapons, distributed across 5 factions, which have original technologies, mutations and unique units.
