Rising Lords

Rising Lords is a mixture of strategy and card game in a medieval setting. The battles are implemented using turn-based mechanics. The player collects slaves and uses them for his own purposes. As in any economic strategy, the core of the gameplay is the collection of resources and taxes. The player is free to set the amount of the duty depending on the solvency of the units. It is required to assign tasks and work to the peasants for the whole day.

By building a rich city containing first-class fortifications, a strong and numerous army is assembled, equipped with the most advanced weapons. Over time, many subjects grow into knights and act as a significant fighting unit on the battlefield. The success of the kingdom depends on the skills of diplomacy, competent production of goods, regulation of wages and taxes. Equally important is the need to monitor the size of the army and the morale of the units. To assemble an invincible army, you need free recruits and a stock of weapons in the warehouse. Soldiers are divided into 7 types: militia, archers, swordsmen, crossbowmen, knights, spearmen and mounted infantry. There is another type of fighter - mercenaries. To recruit them, it is enough just to have funds in the treasury. You will take part in intense tactical duels between rich feudal lords, each of whom is eager to capture as many territories as possible on the global map. You should definitely keep an eye on the budget, since the personal army lives on a salary. As soon as the money stops being paid, units may begin to desert.

The most important element of the Rising Lords gameplay is raiding neighboring cities in order to prevent their army from being the first to attack your base or cut off your opponent from critical resources. The mechanics of the game allow you to starve the peasants. It is possible to misinform the enemy or commit sabotage. The system is closely tied to the morale of citizens, so psychological combat is no less important than military policy. Additional features include a flexible main character editor that allows you to customize your appearance and assign abilities, 50 unique events and card collection that provide tactical advantages, as well as multiplayer for up to 4 players.
