City of Brass is a first-person roguelike in which the player will have to solve all the mysteries of 1001 Nights. To do this, he goes to the “Copper City”. His main weapons are intelligence, ingenuity, a saber and a whip. He can use every item. For example, with a saber you will cut a huge number of skeletons created in the style of an oriental theme; With a whip you can attract enemies, break boxes, use the city’s mechanisms to move forward; intelligence and ingenuity are needed in order not to die countless times.

The protagonist is forced to complete levels at the speed available in the game. There is an hourglass on the screen, and the player's time is in it. If the last grain of sand falls before the hero moves to another game location, then he will have to go through again with collected items and learned spells. Crafting and spells are worth talking about separately. The game was created by the same developers who worked on BioShock Infinity. Skills are upgraded according to your choice, and items are built only out of urgent need. For example, you can make your saber poisonous and your armor more resistant to physical attacks.

The whole city is teeming not only with monsters, but also with special traps. The gameplay is designed in such a way that you can dodge blows, easily avoid arrows, but also fall into the trap of poison - dropping a tank with a nasty potion on yourself. But you can also drive your enemies into such a dead end. There are Genies in all locations. They can grant your wish if you have enough accumulated experience points, or they can exchange the collected loot for more valuable items. Locations are constructed anew every time you enter the Copper City. So, in some missions you will have to go ahead, in some you will have to act in stealth conditions, and in others you will have to run to the end, just so that they don’t have time to hit you.
