A Guidebook of Babel revolves around the ripple effect of the butterfly, where every conversation or decision will have unforeseen consequences, especially if a chain of rumors is started. So you should choose new acquaintances with some caution. However, even if the player decides to remain alone until the very end and do nothing, it will still have a result.

The main character died. He doesn’t remember how, but it’s an obvious fact to him. True, he suddenly woke up not in a hellish cauldron, but on the cruise ship Babel. As it turned out, it should deliver the protagonist and his other passengers to the afterlife. This is a kind of twilight zone where you can relax before the distribution and talk with other dead, learning their history. But suddenly the guy wanders into a place where he seems to belong. There he finds a book with his own biography in full detail and a magic pen. As it turns out, he can now rewrite his history and possibly undo his death.

The afterlife of the Guidebook of Babel is not at all boring and is filled with many interesting and dramatic events. Despite the fact that everyone around is dead, people remain themselves, get drawn into conflicts and even start fights. Sometimes the stories of different personalities have a common thread, and here there may even be a meeting between a victim and a maniac sentenced to death for his actions. The protagonist will also become a participant in these meetings and random accidents.
