The game consists of 12 levels, each of which has its own genre and theme. For example, one level is stealth, where you need to sneak past guards and cameras, and the other is racing, where you need to drive a car with broken physics. The game also features two boss levels where you will have to face industry figures such as a greedy producer or a lazy developer.

The game features a voiceover that guides you through the levels and pokes fun at the gameplay mechanics, graphics, and story. The Voice also comments on the current state of the industry and its trends, such as microtransactions, loot boxes and early access. The game has a lot of jokes and references to popular projects and franchises such as Call of Duty, GTA and Fallout. Gamedev Trash doesn't take itself seriously. This is a satire on the entire gaming industry and its shortcomings. The goal of the project is to entertain and amuse users with its unique and varied gameplay, as well as a witty and hilarious narrative.
