Kona

The gameplay of Kona is based on the survival of a detective in winter conditions. Our hero explores one of the villages of Northern Canada. It's 1970. The setting includes snowy areas, mountains, forests, all in alternating day and night. We have to fight with nature, animals like wolves, and also with the surreal component of what is happening. The developers said that the detective story will be similar to a fairy tale, but the events in it will make you horrified when you first meet what is hidden in the hunting estate.

The main character, Carl Faubert, is a private detective who arrives at the first call from Mr. Hamilton, a wealthy industrialist who is not the first time to encounter vandalism on his territory.

When we arrive at the control point, we realize that we have been deceived. Hamilton is nowhere to be found, and ordinary residents have suddenly disappeared somewhere. We will notice the conditions of northern life in houses. You will have to take most of the items with you in order to survive the storm, but everything will be in short supply. The revolver that we will find in the hunter's house will have several cartridges. Other items will help us keep warm or start the car, but each action is designed for several uses. You cannot abuse gasoline or weapons, for example.

Everything around is available for exploration, even silence.

Rural communities, vintage scenery, people's lives presented in its best detail - that's what Kona is all about. We will not only solve the mystery of this settlement, but also understand why so few games are made about these places.
