Touhou: New World

Touhou: New World is a fanservice RPG set in the whimsical world of Gensokyo, where humans and yukai coexist. The game is based on the popular Touhou Project series created by ZUN and features many iconic characters and locations.

In Touhou: New World, players can play as Reimu Hakurei, a maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, or Marisa Kirisame, an eccentric sorceress and friend of Reimu. The game's plot begins with an encounter with Sumireko Usami, a girl from the outside world who is possessed by Gensokyo and has the ability to travel between dimensions. Sumireko's interference leads to trouble in both worlds and even on the Moon, where the Lunarians live. Reimu and Marisa must team up with other Touhou characters to stop Sumireko and restore nature's balance.

The game combines the fast-paced and challenging gameplay of Touhou Project with exploration and RPG settings. Players can dodge waves of projectiles, cast powerful spells, defend against attacks, and collect items to enhance their abilities. They can also interact with various NPCs, complete side quests and discover secrets in the vast and colorful world of Gensokyo.

This is a tribute to the Touhou Project fandom, which has created a huge amount of fan art over the years. The game is being developed by Ankake Spa, which previously created Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, another fan-made action RPG released in 2016. The game is published by XSEED Games, which has also localized other Touhou fan games such as Touhou: Genso Wanderer and Touhou: Double Focus.
