Siege of Centauri

Siege of Centauri , the action missions of this tower defense game, do not use the same template and offer the gamer scenarios that differ from the previous ones. The setting was chosen to be the distant future, in which humanity has achieved success in various fields of technology, including the conquest of outer space in order to create colonies for the resettlement of some people to other planets. The game includes a map and mission editor, a list of achievements and a single-player campaign, without online modes.

The plot tells about a colony on the planet Proxima Centauri - this is the first of many territories captured by humanity. The earthlings send military detachments to inspect the situation on the ship "Karpaty". Having arrived without incident, terrible discoveries followed. The forces of the colony are practically defeated under the yoke of the siege of an alien race that does not want to share its home planet with human representatives. The player takes on the role of the leader of the rescue squads, which will be the main force against the extraterrestrial form of existence.

The gameplay is as standard as possible for this genre, adding nothing new except that enemy troops can use a couple of abilities that negatively affect the player’s defensive forces. The gamer himself must build protective redoubts deliberately and not allow gaps to appear that enemies can easily exploit. Enemies can be flying, armored, with powerful weapons, and so on; different types of towers are better suited against them, because point balance is important. All buildings can be upgraded to increase their firing radius or power.
