Faerie Afterlight

Faerie Afterlight is an indie action adventure with a side camera. The backgrounds used in the locations are painted in lighter colors than the objects in the foreground, this decision helps to separate the necessary things from the usual decorations. The developers of this project used platformer and metroidvania mechanics to create an exciting gameplay with a huge number of enemy monsters of varying degrees of danger for the player and soothing music. There is native support for gamepads from various manufacturers of computer accessories.

The main characters of the story are two characters - the Seeker of Light Kimo and his friend named Whispy. They found themselves bound by a common purpose in this world, on the basis of which they became close and became best friends, always supporting each other. Their goal in the single-player story campaign is to find a broken shard of light called Lucentia. They do this in the fictional territory of Lumina. Moving through the locations presented in the game, the protagonists improve their abilities and acquire new ones by killing bosses and obtaining their items.

The main mechanics used to move through the area are Kimo’s skills in bewitching enemies to create his own allies, as well as Whispy’s ability to move objects around the heroes in order to search for a passage further through the location. Using these features at the right times will lead the player to successfully solve the puzzle.
