Voltage High Society mixes body horror with cyberpunk. The game takes place in a ruined city located on a gloomy island. This place is ruled by cybernetic monsters. It is there that the nameless criminal is thrown, who will have to be controlled. He decides to find a way to escape from there. In addition to the unusual setting, the indie project boasts a slightly unconventional crossing of genres. This is a hybrid of metroidvania and horror with a first-person view. This title has low-poly graphics with bright colors in low resolution, stylized as early 3D. Its features also include unusual combat.

In VHS, the anti-hero solves all problems with his enemies with his bare hands. Fists are his only weapon. Here the protagonist does not have knives, pistols or other weapons, although his rivals may be armed. Local melee combat looks dynamic. The combat system forces the player to come close to dangerous and aggressive monsters, which adds tension to the atmosphere and gameplay. As you progress, new types of enemies appear. You need to find your own approach to each adversary. As a reward for defeating them, you are given scrap, which is needed for leveling up. If the slave dies, he will lose all accumulated resources and will be resurrected at the checkpoint (checkpoints here are sofas). He has a flashlight with him that needs to be charged periodically. This device helps out in dark locations.
