The gameplay is based on physics and realism. Depending on the type of train, the controls feel different. For example, electric trains are more dynamic and maneuverable, so they are much easier to control. The gameplay of Electric Trains is based on the following mechanics: acceleration, braking, switching tracks, reverse. At stations, doors are allowed to open and close, allowing people to board or exit. You can also improve environmental parameters and customize the landscape.

The whole dynamics of the game lies in attentiveness and quick response to various situations. The gameplay helps players learn to make decisions in any critical and extreme conditions. The campaign is represented by short missions of 10-15 minutes. The tasks consist of transporting passengers on several different types of trains.
